That’ll be wax that’s used to “waterproof” the cotton. If in later years it looses its water resistance Belstaff will re wax it for you (used to be complimentary but not sure now) or you can buy a tin of it and do it yourself. Haven’t tried it myself but famously James Dean turned down a date with Marlyn Monroe because he had to wax his Belstaff motorcycle jacket. Probably an urban myth but I like the storyJust had a delivery of the Jacket it seems to be covered in a coating that gets everywhere .
That's poor prioritising skills from JD then. That’ll be wax that’s used to “waterproof” the cotton. The excess wears into the cotton quite quickly from your body heat. ( don't wipe off the excess it will impact on waterproofing). Wear it the first few times without sitting in the car, (take it off when you get in) or go to the pub a couple of times.I want it dewaxing it gets everywhere
Couple of thousand miles on my motorcycle will sort it out! Barbours in the old days were just the same, although laying in a frost ditch waiting for imaginary geese used to sort them outI want it dewaxing it gets everywhere
You have to wear it on the leather seat every six months. It’s the dedicated leather care provided by Ineos! For goodness sake don't ware it in the vehicle .
NO!!!!!!!Should come off with a good wash
Should be ok it’s a goof machine I will let it dry naturally not tumble dryNO!!!!!!!
fjällräven uses the same system. I have a number of their garments & use their Greenland Wax to retreat after washing. I’d imagine the Fjällräven wax will work just as well on the Bellstaff jackets as & when the time comes. That’ll be wax that’s used to “waterproof” the cotton. That’s why LR guys love waxed jackets.Wipe it on the chassis if you believe IA have let the side down by not galvanising it.
Wax is meant for the outside of things. Don't wear it inside anything, including the vehicle! That’s why LR guys love waxed jackets.
