Yes you are quite capable and you have repeatedly done so many many times on this forum.
Nobody, when asked, what their MPG is says " let me get me log book out to see what my running talley to date is" they simply just tell you, correctly, what their last tank MPG was.
The EPA uses a dyno machine to test vehilcle mpg and a dyno machine is not real world driving no matter what the data imputes are.
His truck isnt some magic carpet getting 21 mpg. When someone asks what MPG people are getting, they aren't asking whats the best can be done for some short term situation if driven gingerly, they are asking for everyday real world experience during truck ownership. That dyno, along with the process parameters, is very much statistically representative. In fact, it's been dead center of people that aren't bullshitting about a comical 21mpg claim with this truck. So yea, when people ask what the efficiency is, they are asking for a statement that is as accurate as possible, and if you're gonna claim some number thats ludicrous, then yea, pull out the contemporaneous evidence as proof or called out as comic relief.

You sound like a MAGA trumper pathetically defending that poor woman ICE murdered yesterday... Oh... That's right... you are. Go pound salt.

Yes! The new Toyotas don’t inspire confidence, not to mention the absurdly high asking prices. The Mercedes Gelandewagen is a good alternative but the new ones are ridiculously priced. About the only real alternative is an older G Wagon but then you’re dealing with other issues there.
How about a disappeared G Wagon Might be going cheap 🧐

Can we not turn this thread into a shouting match. It has been interesting to see varying perspectives on the Grenadier ownership experience and it would be unfortunate to see the thread closed. The recent MAGA reference was in particularly poor taste and completely out of context. Mind you I am not a a member of that club in any way.

100% agree. That’s one broad brush you’re painting with. Opinions are all over the place with people from all over the spectrum. I live and breathe anything news/political, and as much as my tongue is bleeding, let’s focus and keep it on topic please. You will quickly find reasons to hate those you thought you liked.

Look, If you want statistical reality use a proper sample size and drive it on the roads, not a dyno.
Well, looks to me like his 21 mpg was real world experience. So why bitch about it. Like I said - no one keeps up to date mpg data (except pmatusov).
As to your pathetic comment about MAGA defending that poor woman - would it not be reasonable to rationalize that MAGA inclined folks might be more inclined to defend ICE (instead of defending that allegedly poor woman)?
The proper and original phrase is to "Go Pound Sand". Not Salt.

So, you get 21mpg with a selective reading in ideal conditions, and removing data that does not support your claim. Like I said, I can create conditions where I blow your 21 out of the water. I can do the trip to town with the engine off from the Dunbar intersection 1/4 mile away. I'll get you one hell of an MPG # as soon as I work out how to divide by 0.

Your MPG, is 100% of your miles, divided by 100% of the fuel used, and you can give a written caveat as to how you use it. The EPA mileage has 2 caveats. What they observe in a city cycle and what they observe in a highway cycle, and all cars are equal. Nothing "selective".

Needless to say you DO NOT get 21mpg, and I don't need to hire you to teach me how to bullshit online. I'm quite capable of that myself if I so choose.

Ok...
To stop annoying other people on this thread you can start a new "What is your MPG" thread.

You can define the rules.

I was assuming it was milage between fill ups.

No one ever mention EPA cycles and every mile that had been driven.

Maybe people can contribute stories of best and worst, and what contributed to best and worst. This may be helpful to other owners or future owners.

My story is that I can average 21 MPG between fill ups. I have already discussed my strategies.

It is not just going down hill. It is my daily travels. Elevation changes, speed changes, etc.

I have already discussed that I do tow, drive off road, and drive aggressively as well as drive to reduce the amount of fuel I use.

Thanks... Have fun with your new thread.

You have no idea who I am.

If you are upset about the murder yesterday, so am I. This will be my only comment...

If the officer was able to step towards the vehicle to shoot, they were also able to step away and save a life.
