This maybe a really dumb question but what do the red and green lines/markings on the central and roof consoles meant to signify?

I have no idea.

Example on roof console.

Port & starboard, a play on the aircraft style overheard console theme?
Yes, they are apparently a nod from Toby Ecuyer, designer of the Grenadier interior.

Toby is a maritime architect who also designed Sir Jim’s two yachts.

We stumbled across one of them (Sherpa, his expedition yacht) docked in St John’s, Newfoundland. It gives pretty serious Grenadier vibes with a similarly boxy, practical thing going on.

See what you think:

It's useful info should you attempt a river crossing and float out into sea.The door seals are so good they might allow that 😄
But you'll need a louder horn in the English Channel 😉
I nearly had that happen when crossing the Gascoyne River. Well, float off the concrete crossing into the river with car and trailer! My one very close near miss, the water was nearly up to the window, which was open. If you ignore the accident which destroyed the Patrol. My other near miss, but that was with death.
