Buds are starting to form up here, but at least another two weeks to go if we get some warmer night temperatures. The fields are starting to green up where they don't have stock on.
Would be nice if our land dried up a bit. Some of our Daffy's are still coming up and yet to bud, last year hardly any developed buds at all. I took that photo as it's my daughters birthday, St David's Day and she was born in my wife's old family home not far from Cardiff.

Loads of Daff buds here (down on the coast road there are hundreds in bloom along the roadside) - just a few blooms at home, so far. Crocus, tall snowdrops, fritillary etc all around. Catkins, some cherry blossom in the garden - pussy willows starting to bud - as are most of my trees. No leaves yet. The conifers are brightening nicely, an the copper oak has finally shed last years leaves ready for the new crop :)

We have a very mild climate, not even enough snow the one day it did come to cover the ground. Yes, wet & windy winter. But only a handful of days down to zero. The island sits in the gulf stream that brings warm water from the Caribbean. Admittedly is does not get much higher than 25 at the height of summer (but our days are loooong!)

Not bad when we are further north than my friends in Nova Scotia!
