Hey folks-

Just wanted to say hello from Southern California to the rest of the community.

I received my Shale Blue Trialmaster Grenadier with a white contrast roof just this past Friday, and I've been drinking from the firehose to learn more about the vehicle. Thanks to everyone on this forum for all of the learnings thus far, as well as Stu & Krabby for the great podcast that I have binged over the last several days. Both have helped provide me with history, technical information, and a few laughs along the way.

I fitted a Fox ATS steering stabilizer this morning as one of the first upgrades (though I still want to call them farkles from my ADV riding days), done some preventative maintenance on the NATO port, and started poking around in other areas to learn where I can focus. A couple of my buddies spend a lot of time in the overloading world and have provided me with ample opportunity to bust out my wallet. But my goal with the ride is to tinker more with the platform as time, wife and children allow; also to use the vehicle to help me as a proper utility companion, and of course, get her out for adventure and see what I can do with her.

Grateful to be here with you.

Cheers!

Did you buy your rig from Matt at Sierra Ineos in Irvine? I bought a 2024 Eldorate Blue Trialmaster from them. I’m also working on some changes to the steering, looking at the King stabilizer. What maintenance did you need to do on the NATO port?

Yea, picked her up from Sierra Ineos in Irvine. Tayler and Zach helped me out. Super responsive and helpful, after hours and on the weekend. Still honeymoon support no doubt, but good folks.

It was a toss up between the King and Fox for me on the stabilizer, and ultimately went with Fox. Mod is far superior to the stock Bilstein on initial drives. Took at most 20min to swap out the stock kit.

NATO port maintenance was just some dialectric grease on the threads to prevent seizing.

Have to decide if I tweak the steering stops to increase my turning radius, but am going to hold out for the time being as I've read mixed comments. In the meantime, may take a few minutes to tweak the slightly off center steering wheel (DaBull and LeftCoastOverland provide some great instructions) -- minor nit but enough to be annoying. I'm sure the guys at the shop can do it for me, but I enjoy the work.

Happy trails!
