Is there someone on this forum that knows of a mechanic that works on an INEOS in St. Louis Missouri.
Unfortunately not - but what I worked out here in Madison (only 2 1/2 hours from Lake Bluff) is there is an independent, European import shop (Bosch certified) that says he can work on it in case of an emergency, as well as the BMW dealership. I’ve had him do a couple things on it, so he’s had a chance to familiarize himself with it. In his personal life, he’s done a number of Jeep off-road builds, so he gets it. My point is, get to know an independent mechanic, just as a contingency measure. Neither he nor the BMW dealership will be able to help for warranty work, and neither can do things like oil light resets. These are emergency coverage options - of which I have had none in 20 months. At least that’s how it is for now - unless and until Ineos opens its diagnostics and agrees to a different service strategy with its dealers. I would expect a dealership in St Louis or KC before much longer. That’s the next logical location for the Midwest market - surprised one didn’t happen already this year. There’s Knauz, then one in Michigan, Cleveland (I think), and Twin Cities.

I would also recommend getting an OBD reader so you can read and clear codes - owners on the forum have recommendations if you run a search.
