Had some time off in France for some days with a friend who started building out his Disco 2. We both had great fun & learned alot about both vehicles.
First of all, next time we bring a chainsaw, only had a hand axe an a foldable handsaw, we had to do a lot of trail clearing.
Lucky for the winch & the new recovery kit that I just bought a week before.
Overall fell even more in love with the Grenny, such great car.
We did just over 500km offroad, car behaved herself no real problems.
Glad I had installed PPF a month before, the tracks where narrow, lot of branches.
The few things that happend, the status led from the roof switch ext 1 failed after a few hours at night in the woods.
Folded the rear "skid" plate over, after climbing out of some pits, so will be looking for a sturdier, better designed one with extra supports, had to straighten the rear bumper after this.
A Black sheep one is the only one on my radar to this moment, will be expensive, Black Sheep means paying import tax for us Belgians.

If anyone knows sturdy alternatives, keen to hear!
A remark, after using the winch alot for clearing trees of the track, the stock battery setup now charges to 100% every time!
All these months it always floated between 76% - 84% and then stopped charging, since all the winching, it now keeps on charging 40A - 48A until a higher state of charge, and then floats until 100% Soc.
Did remove the plate completely for now, will need a better designed alternative.
We did a most of the tracks in the forest on these warm days.
Thiaucourt USA monument, great scenery all round.
We tried to keep our camp setup as simple as possible, later I will go deeper in on my car layout and organisation.
First wil need some more try and error.
Really enjoyed our time off, needed it after a hectic work period, looking forward to more of this!
