I had chance to have a quick show around a 26m/y yesterday. Can’t say I liked the look of the headlights as the actual light area appeared diminished due to the additional ring. That may just be my perception though. As long as they perform as per the originals then all is well I suppose. Nothing else kept out during my quick shufty around the rest of it but it was getting dark and peeing down with rain.

So the very early ones had quality materials but just hit and miss on some of the various 'fixable' issues

That's good news! We've still got two unprogrammed key fobs for our '24. We were about to burn them as backups when the door lock recall happened. Just haven't found time to get to the dealer and have thework done.

When my door buttons got changed the new fobs don't seem to set the alarm off anywhere near as much. I had to put a rubber ring in to stop the old ones from continuously being caught

I had the buttons etc replaced on mine, the new fobs don't seem to have quite the same range as the originals which is a shame as the alarm button was handy to see off the Muntjac deer and random foxes barking near the house. We are rural and have no close neighbours.

The presenter has nailed the Elliot Goblet style of enthusiasm for the Grenadier.
How long until all these features are coming to Australia? Grenadier can't stay a "speciality off-road vehicle" for ever considering the majority spend most of the time driven in urban environments and every other new 4x4 and light truck has some form of ADAS.

The two features that I don't like are the driver monitoring cameras and the braked lane assist.
I don't know how well ineos has executed braked lane assist but other vehicles it can be quite aggressive and fight the driver. The braked lane assist is used because of the full hydraulic steering, and in some scenarios, it's more dangerous to have the system turned on. I have seen it catch drivers off guard in wet weather, avoiding kangaroos on second-class rural roads where there can be standing water in road train ruts near the fog line. Kangaroos can easily confuse the AEB when they jump in front of a car.
The driver monitoring camera, what data is being stored, downloaded at service or OTA, and used by OEMs sold to insurance companies?Chevy and Ford have been in hot water over this one. We have driver facing cameras in work vehicles already and know employers store and review footage. In Australia, as long as there is no sound or voice recording, it is legal, and there are no issues with privacy laws. I am not sure what laws or if there are any laws to protect car owners from OEMs from collecting their private image data.
