New Driver Attentiveness Monitor (camera based system in rear view mirror)

On the mirror itself? I wonder if this is going to be a problem when adding a Wolfbox.

It is invisible, integrated behind the mirror glass. I could imagine that when unplugged it will generate an ADAS error. But, I can't confirm that.

Good catch - certainly a quality first post! Welcome to the club.

I've never been a fan of the piano black but have still be too lazy to do anything about it.

I have a '26 loaner today.

I covered the center of the mirror with my hand and a light appeared on the dash and a warning on the center screen. "Distracted detected" maybe.

The mirror electronics look to be integrated through the ball mount unless there is a battery in the mirror but I am not sure how that would work.


The good thing is that the mirror does not dim to the point of being useless like other self-dimming mirrors have done in the past. Turning off those features bring the light on the telltale cluster.

The dimming part is a great addition IMO but not with the added nanny BS that comes with it. Did you play around to see if that distracted thing (and anything else that was added) can be turned off?

I really like my wolf box, makes me wonder with power going to the mirror if removing it would cause the grenny to Christmas tree all over?? I would say no but will keep my eyes on the forum for the first one to try it out!!

Funny, you can do it now. I doubt the price will be that much cheaper than the Grenadier USA piece. Plus delay of getting it

I just want the one piece, and I want them to match without a giant logo on it. This evening I may lift that center panel to see what’s under it. I thought of wrapping the piece as well. To be determined. I don’t use the center buttons at all anymore and I’m wondering if I can just remove it and make a recessed compartment there to hold stuff

Darn I thought I posted this screen already. Yes, it throws 1 warning on the bottom right of the telltale.

Much like ADAS is not required in the US I wonder if this could be fixed via software like the loud bongs we had earlier this year. Not sure if driver monitoring is a requirement in the US. Not mad at Ineos if they are just following the law. I still hold somewhat firm that all of the tools that are supposed to help distracted drivers is just causing them to be distracted. I hear a bong that I could shift my focus to find out why I heard it. But at least there is a distracted driving monitoring tool to help us focus. LOL Catch-22.


At least with other vehicles a vibrating seat is not as intrusive as loud bong. I do not even have my GPS talk to me.

You could buy the one without the logo. I bought with the logo by accident, and I can barely tell that it is there honestly.

That would be a great addition.

Does disabling the setting (drive monitoring) persist after vehicle restart ? (and after >30m). or does it reset back to active ?

I forgot to check but I imagine that it would since deactivating all ADAS resets again after startup on my '24 but I will give that a try tonight.
