I have a diesel Grenadier that takes forever for the heating to warm up. At its last service it had the same problem and the dealer sorted the issue.
Anyone know the procedure to resolve what may be an air lock?

Thanks for your help!

All you need to do is fill up the coolant. Both the blue and black lid with HT12 coolant, level to max on a cold engine. Some of the air has purged out and levels have dropped. It will continue doing this for the first few years until all the air has gone. It will work, not perfect but it gets hot in 5 mins from cold start in auto. No condensation or fogging.

Exactly my experience, takes time to get all the air out if not done during manufactur

While you are at it, make sure the header tanks are not leaking, as they have a reputation for being 'delicate'.

Unlike fancier vehicles, the Grenadier does not have a diesel auxiliary heater or a electric heater block, (which are used to get the heater to work faster).

It actually does have an electric heater block inside the HVAC box, which I only just found out about, but how or if it works is anyone's guess...At best it would only provide luke warm air given its small size.

I saw that and thought I have never felt it working. I'll have to look at the wiring to see how it is plugged in; everyday is a school day.

Perhaps it only works when you do the front window demist?
I wonder if it’s specific to colder countries or only the diesel?

I'd have thought it was for the windscreen demist only.
