Let’s talk Update 24.1

Oh infotainment boot up is triggered by the unlock event? Not the door open / close event?

So when camping as long as you keep it unlocked the infotainment won’t be starting all the time?

Still a seemingly useless and significant regression. The infotainment was booting up fine before… why make the boot up more eager?
Don’t all cars do this now? It’s like waiting for windows 7 to boot up. There’s just too much shit going on with cars. The days of opening the hood and seeing a belt around a water pump and an alternator are over.

no.. and apparently nor did these later grenariders.. he said it used to turn on the infotainment only in ACC or engine on. Now it turns on much earlier - when you unlock the door.

You brought it up. So tell tell us, what other ways? Don’t be a snowflake, just say what’s on your mind.
“Negativity” it’s Verboten. Anytime you have an issue and post about it you hurt people’s feelings. It’s some personal attack on every Ineos owner to talk about problems. In the minds of the Ineos Faithful, any discussion that isn’t sunshine and lollipops is a slight.

He rejects Driver Assistance as a denial of Darwinism. He called Dealer Service so often they got an unlisted number. He finds those tolerant of glitchey software weak of mind and spirit. Sir Jim Ratcliffe has his picture posted in the Security Break Room. He is.. the Angriest Canadian in the World. Stay Thirsty my Friends.

Ok, sometimes I can't help myself. I hope you can get rid of this albatross around your neck. It seems you can't and won't be able to enjoy the vehicle.

Be nicer? I didn’t do anything to you. You’re the one who comes along and shits on me for having problems. That buddy is a you problem
I have not shit on you but, I have pointed your repetitive nonstop criticism ad nauseam about your issues (real or imagined). If that is shitting on you so be it. Those problems are yours, you have told us about it (surprised it is not on CNN), please move on to more positive issues.

Dude, I posted positive interactions with Ineos and reported no issues with my vehicle and you went all out PMS. Are you on drugs? Drinking lots? You need help.

Dude you personally attacked me for my complaints right at the bottom of your sunshine and lollipop post. You can’t even seem to understand what you type. You’re the one attacking people, not me

Can we get back to discussion around 24.1 software updates? Not 5+ hour 24.2... .3.... .4 etc or two grown humans fighting like cats. Get a pint together or knock each other out via direct private message but for the sake of the rest of us, move it elsewhere please. Thanks

4 hour update

The new software update: 6/19/25
My Trialmaster info.
6/24 manufacture date VIN. # 21…

1-Start stop works very smooth
2-A/C works on Auto setting
3- No chime on low fuel (almost at 1/4 tank)
4-Lane departure works
5-PDC works
6- No Overspeed Chime
7- TPMS set at 35psi ( Arizona ) 100+ degrees

are you implying the new software improved the auto start/stop?
Also are you saying all of those changes were explicitly advertised for the new version? Or just you anecdotal feelings right now?

I offer you gentlemen my sincere apology but, in my defense, Canada is a long drive for me. 😀

I will test it out but it looks like only unlock. I think one of reason is the HVAC gets rolling sooner so by time some one turns on the HVAC start procedure is complete. All conjecture with no real world data to back it up.
That makes sense. I have been testing the hvac system since the update and it has worked perfectly. No longer am I turning it off at shutdown and then waiting for the computers to boot before starting the car and turning the hvac back on. It appears to have solved the issue. Not sure if it is the most elegant way to fix it but I don’t really care as long as it works.

Is the whistling noise also resolved?
