Let’s talk Update 24.1

The OSW warning does stay off, the lane departure warning has to be reset every time

If this is true then the much anticipated ADAS update will be meaningless to me since I'll basically have to do the same preflight routine every time I start the truck.

From my perspective it's not simply about pushing a couple of buttons since my protocol is to disable ALL ADAS functions and then re-enable AEB. I have found it fruitless to try to enable AEB until I've got the vehicle moving in a forward direction away from obstacles which means, for example, getting out of a parking space and then pulling over by the side of the road to do the reset (since speed has to be basically zero). Having to do this every time I start the truck makes doing errands around town incredibly tedious... Not what I bought it for of course but still...

Can I ask why you disable everything then re enable AEB?

I disable all the ADAS functions because I find them all annoying and unnecessary.

The only reason I enable AEB is that if I don't then the stupid idiot light telling me AEB is not enabled flashes and obscures trip data which I monitor. I'd be much happier if I could turn off the AEB warning altogether but I'm sure that I'm not allowed to do that. (Thank you nanny-something.)

Well of course, we must have all the government mandated Nannies

Did you get the update yet?
My dealer continues to tell me it’s “not available” and my dealership is 1700km away. So it’s not like I’m driving down there just to be told to F$&@ off home with no software. Per the web portal my vehicle does not have a software update. What’s even more frustrating is that even Ineos customer service call center says there is a software update available. So I don’t know who’s being honest and who’s misrepresenting the information.
This truck is a pile of trouble on top of all the nonsense caused by Ineos. Even if they manage to update the vehicle it still won’t solve the service reminder problem.

There’s a list of 20 repairs and counting for my vehicle, and even more mind blowing is that the dealership had the vehicle for a total of over 7 months starting in September of last year and only filed 3 warranty repairs in all that time.

I’m at a total loss. I offered money and a trade on a new vehicle, Answer was no, I offered for the dealership to buy it back, Answer Was No, I tried to trade it in, no one, and I mean no One will take it on trade.
So I’m stuck with all this crap and no software to even make the truck more livable on a daily basis.

Add on top of that all the stupid comments from people who are so happy to own one that they can’t accept that some vehicles are total lemons. They need to incessantly post about how ADAS, and oil change notifications and Constant camera warnings and random errors are just par for the course and that I should be on my knees begging to the Ineos gods for forgiveness for pointing out the bull shit.

So yeah I’m at my shits end with the nonsense that is Ineos, and the lack of any customer service.

See attached image, this is the only outstanding Ineos guidances on my Vehicle. Notice no software update is shown. This is a USA dealer portal so even where the update is available my vehicle is not up for an update.

I have received excellent Customer Service from Ineos and I believe many
Others have as well. Face it....you are an anomaly...and in more than one way.

Oh look, one of the Ineos loving members as stated above. Has to chime in and say how amazing everything is. Funny there’s lots of us with problems but blind devotion clouds anything possibly bad. As I said you are the type of people that solve nothing for everyone having problems. Keep sending your fan mail to Lynn

I had my update done at my dealer this past Tuesday. It took 5 hours and per the service manager it updated exactly 2 things.
1, Made it so i could permanently deactivate the speed sensor alert. I've tested this and maybe did 200 miles and 30 starts/shutdowns and it works. No more 3 button pushes to silence it each time i get in.
2, It addressed some issue with overfilling the gas tank which i never had.
The only overfill issue I've noticed is if you top it off the range stops increasing and it just says >260 for about 30 miles or so.
That's it, for 5 hours of updating.

Two things I noticed. The head unit now starts to boot when you unlock the door. Previously my QM25 did not start booting process until I turn my key to ACC. The second is my calculated fuel efficiency has gotten better. Probably due to the higher range calculation.

wtf! That’s a huge downgrade! No one wants the infotainment to boot upon door unlock

I think if camping, you leave the door unlocked. Again it booted up once I unlocked the door. Not when I opened the door.

You are a Master Whiner that only knows how to attack without gathering facts and, apparently, feels entitled to free help from everyone as, surely I have no personal or business reason to help you and am certainly not in the proximity to help you.
You should get a personal tag for your (alleged) Grenadier with "WHINER" on it.

Oh infotainment boot up is triggered by the unlock event? Not the door open / close event?

So when camping as long as you keep it unlocked the infotainment won’t be starting all the time?

Still a seemingly useless and significant regression. The infotainment was booting up fine before… why make the boot up more eager?

I will test it out but it looks like only unlock. I think one of reason is the HVAC gets rolling sooner so by time some one turns on the HVAC start procedure is complete. All conjecture with no real world data to back it up.
