So what’s the deal, why is it the older vehicles with less safety protocols still have no update? Anyone with a pre 17 000 VIN remains un softwared. I’ve spoken to my dealership, and Ineos “Customer service” with promises of “soon” and “imminently” and “Before end of month” (That was May)
My dealership has gone through another service department change of staff and the new guy although pretty decent to chat with is not up to speed and has not been able to help. Hopefully Service manager #4 lasts longer than the previous 3! (But that’s off topic)

So does anyone have any indication of when those of us with the older trucks will get the long promised yet to be delivered update?

I would guess within the coming weeks, the 24.1 update has been circulating test vehicles for some time now

I've expressed my reasoning before, but I would imagine the 24.2+ vehicles got it first because it included a FIX to a problem instead of just the convenience alterations that 24.1 gets

I have spoken with Ineos on multiple occasions and the indication so far is that nothing is coming any time soon. My dealership indicates the same.
I’d be happy to hear differently but it doesn’t appear to be so. The fabled “test” vehicles seem nothing more than rumors.

Are the North American 24.1 the equivalent of the 23.5 in Europe?

The European 23/23.5 is not getting the same software updates as the 24 is because the hardware is different. One of the easiest ways to check is the reverse camera image. If it's a small pop up window (in how it looks) then that's the older hardware. If the reverse cam is larger and fills most of the vertical screen, then it is using newer hardware. The different hardware has different firmware versions.

Not the same. We have full size camera image. We have the black sheep. Stuck with ADAS and all the nonsense with hardware between 23.5 and 24.2

100% not True. We met with INEOS corporate members this last weekend at a GTG.
Confirmed 24.1 will be a USB flash to the HU only, to fix the ADAS click and a few other fixes. Our vehicles [sub 17000] do NOT have the software issues newer VINS have, therefore this is the only update necessary, No BCM, no HVAC, no electrical updates. Takes sub 30 min, if that. INEOS has not stated for sure that the file will be posted for secure access for an owner, or USB provided. So for now it is dealer only, and may be a candidate for a field install. They had the USB present, and have started to perform a few installs.

Until I see or have written proof this is not much more than hearsay. I spoke with Ineos and my dealership yesterday and both indicated there is no such update.

My Dealership in Canada keeps giving me the same answer day after day. There is no available software, no usb stick, nothing in the online web portal. I get the same answer every day. No software for 24.1.

Ineos has screwed early adopters yet again. They refuse to provide answers to my dealer, or my dealer is lying

Your dealer may not know, I doubt they would lie, especially if they know and just have not gotten the update yet. If they attend the corporate calls, they would know. It barely rolled out, and maybe hasn’t made its way to Canada yet.

Per the conversation I had with the service manager yesterday. He has spoken to Ineos, and emailed them. He tells me there is ZERO UPDATE. So if he’s not lying then Ineos is not providing one. I’m very sorry but either I’m being lied to or you’re misinformed. I have spoken to him almost daily for a week, and it’s the same answer, there’s no available software to update ADAS for 24.1 Vehicles. I grow extremely tired of the bullshit. Newer vehicles get updates, older owners who put money down before the truck was even real can get F$&@ed. I see no reason why the service manager would lie, and I doubt he’s bullshitting when he says he speaks to Ineos. So yeah it’s all bull shit as far as I can tell.

Newer vehicles got an update that included a fix to a known problem (fuel level implausibility CEL). You are awaiting an update for convenience.

Does Canada have different software from the US?
It may be that Canada is either behind the US in the rollout or not getting it.

There are indeed some MY22 and MY23s that have paid an early adopter penalty with issues.

I had the same problem. Fill it get check engine light. What’s your point? My truck has all the same software issues new ones have. Why are people so happy to defend this crap from Ineos.

Yeah and not only paid, but basically been left hung out to dry. Thanks for the money now F$&@ off with your truck.

We all filled out the form to get the monthly stipend for only saying good things online.. maybe they haven't rolled that out in Canada yet :P

I'm sure you know I'm not trying to protect Ineos, but maybe call a different dealer. Maybe one here in the USA. Not that you're going to drive across the border, but at least you can get some solace that the update exists and will come. Honestly I'm guessing it won't come to Kanada the way things have been shaping up in our authoritarian hat.

Given that the truck isn’t from the USA I don’t see why Kanada would be dependent on what’s happening in the People Republik of the United States. But regardless it’s a total joke that Ineos tells my dealer there’s no update. Yet people are adamant that there is but no one with a 24.1 vehicle has had access to said updates. I’m frankly just tired of the bullshit. Nothing comes from this company, Manuals? Nope! Update? Nope!
Service reset? Nope! Better Customer Service? Nope! So it’s all one bull shit line after another. Either post the update, or put out a social media post or do something. But nothing more silence from Calder, more of nothing. And everyone on here defending this company like it’s some golden child.

I've got no idea when the 24.1 update is coming but I wouldn't be too quick to believe what a dealer says. Or Ineos customer service reps :D

Spoke to my service manager yesterday. He said no new news on the update. No big deal to me. I can wait. Bullshitted with my salesman about other things for awhile. He gave my wife and I each an INEOS shirt. Life goes on.
