Hello Everyone,
So I have been looking around at options for upgrading the sound system in my 2024 Grenadier TrialMaster and kept coming across the $2000-$3000. full audio system upgrade. I have installed several full audio systems in all of my prior vehicles and am familiar with this process but just did not want to spend that much on this system. I did some research and ended up purchasing a Kicker 12" Down facing Sub which also has a built in 500 Watt amp in the speaker enclosure. Let me tell you this thing sounds amazing...!! The install was incredibly easy as well and I learned a few things along the way about the Grenadier and wanted to share my install with anyone who was interested in upgrading their audio system for a fraction of the cost and you will be super happy with it.
I purchased my Kicker 12" Sub / Amp combo Model PTRTP12 from a company called Trail Seven. I have no affiliation with TrailSeven and purchased this kit with my own funds. TrailSeven makes this plug and play kit specifically for the new Bronco but it includes everything you need for the install with all cables nicely terminated on both ends. The entire amp wiring kit was great quality. It took me only about one hour for the entire install. Here is the actual link to the kit I bought:

Ok, so for starters All 2024 and up Grenadiers come pre wired from the factory with a small wiring harness / connector located under the backseat center area that is meant to be used with the Ineos (Audio Upgrade Package) which is a JBL Nano. I have listened to the JBL Nano system at the dealer and was not impressed. You will find that this wiring harness will be wrapped with a Gray foam and piece of white tape on it. Here is a shot of the location and the cable after I removed the foam and tape from it.
As you see the factory has already taped off the left and right speaker cables on the harness with black tape.
I then used the included wire taps in the kit to tap into these speaker wires on the harness which will provide the signal going to the amp and also used the included wire tap to RCA connector cable as seen here:
Then I made all the wire connections at the amp which its located on one of the sides of the enclosure which included Red Power cable, Black Negative Cable, a small wiring harness that connects the RCAs going from the wire tap locations at the small harness located under the back seat going into the 12" Kicker amp. This kit also includes a Bass knob that connects to the amp and can be run to somewhere up front where the driver can access the knob to adjust bass input as needed for different styles of music.
I then ran the Amp Power with (Fuse) and Negative cables along the left Drivers Side corner behind the backseat and ran the cables along the rear edge of the backseat and tie wrapped all cables to keep them uniform going to the the main Ineos Battery which is located under the backseat on the DRIVERS SIDE. My Grenadier has the Dual Battery setup and you should not use the PASSENGER SIDE secondary battery for this audio install. I installed the Positive red cable with fuse to one of the Batteries main terminals and I removed an existing Ground screw I found in the center area down at the bottom that had a few other ground cables going to it added the negative black ground cable to this point and retightened down the screw. Here's a few shots showing the path I ran the cables and the center area where I coiled up the excess cables and tie wrapped them down for a clean looking install.
Here's a few shots of the speaker, amp location and cargo area with the box in it so you can see how it sits. Doesn't take up a lot of room at all.
I hope this helps anyone interested in giving their Grenadier a Big upgrade in sound without having to take apart half the vehicle and not fork out $2000- $3000.
