It's not a G!

Ok, we have to have the G discussion.

May here like to shorten Grenadier to G. Well, I'm sorry to say but that has been claimed for a very very long time. The Gwagon has been called a G for ever.

And considering the G is still produced today this can get confusing.

Not a mandate or anything, just want to bring this to everyone's attention. This is especially troublesome for people like me that own a G and a Grenadier.

And QM for Quartermaster. I would be cool if they dropped the Grenadier and it was called the Ineos Quartermaster. Grenadier for station wagon. Fusilier for hydrogen. E

I prefer to say the whole name as well. I also say Galendewagen most of the time when referring to that truck. Sometimes but rarely GWagen.

I also never say Merc when referring to a Mercedes. A Merc is and always will be this.

I always say Ineos Grenadier as nobody knows what I'm talking about so any abbreviations would only make it work. If people do get to know them it will probably end up as just Gren or IG.

We have had a similar discussion on this previously and I suggested G-spot. As of yet, I can't find that anywhere else so we should be ok if we want to claim it for ourselves.

When my kids were young, they couldn't really say Porsche, so they called my 911 the Pork Chop.
The name stuck.
