We carry a fridge freezer when out and about but ended up with a space against the wheel box out that was a bit useless.
So having the remains of a dog crate left from the cargo shelf build, thought i'd have a go at making a purpose built one. Crate was 3mm steel mesh and plate is 3mm aluminium sheet left from something, after a few attempts bending to the right orientation and sizing, a prototype is now installed. We'll see how it fairs later on in the year after a few trips.
It feels nice and solid and part of the plan was it had to be fully stripable along with the cargo shelf. This turned out to be vital after going to pick up a roof box and finding it didn't fit in the boot. Also wanted to avoid drilling or cutting the car interior panels.
