Homelink Install

[JKAlpine]

Anyone install one of these Gentex Homelink garage door openers? I'm just trying to figure out the best spot to install it. It's actually battery powered, so no 12v needed, just enough depth to mount it. It's about 3 inches deep.

I have seen that thread, but no one mention of install of that device, just a comment that it's an option.

I would consider putting it down by the fuse box cover in front of your right knee as your driving. As I recall, plenty of room behind that panel to accommodate the three inches…

After digging a little more, I was able to cut out the table behind this space and it all worked fine. Glad to have it! The plastic Visors are slick and the openers I had just popped off when you hit a bump. Much better to have an installed option for sure.
