Hi guys!
I am new here and to the GRENADIER.
Well, since I was 17, I restored and drove WWII WILLYS Jeeps (unaltered!) off and on road, since 40 years. I always considered a "modern" 4x4 as a day driver, but, since I got my first "normal" car only when I was 27!! it took some further 12 years till when I got my Volvo XC70. "4x4" (well!), but...It did handle the Ardennes in the mud allright, however mainly took me to work and towed a trailer (with the WWII Jeep). The XC70 gave up recently. It is really hard to find a replacement...I even slept/camped in it! I unfortunately missed out on the last Defenders many moons ago and other 4x4s did just not tick enough boxes. When the GRENADIER was on the horizon, I got an itch. The Jeep Gladiator was a contender, but for practical reasons (a Pick Up? Really???), the INEOS Station Wagon (Fieldmaster), earned my appreciation and interest, in rememberance of the LR 109/110/Defender. Do I really need it? No. Do I want it? Yes! A trip to Africa is not planned, daily shopping yes, and Jeep trailering with camping is!
I hope I can learn here, and, should I eventually call myself an owner, contribute!
What comes next?
Lars
