Hi @Jimbo welcome to the forum. I lived in TX for 6-1/2 years back in the early 2000s and had a great time. Friendly people! Drove a F150 Lightning then traded in for a F250 Powerstroke. About as opposite pair of trucks as possible I think

Thanks marko, We hope to get to the UK in the near future. Those are both great trucks. Just sold my RAM Rebel holding on to my jeep until the Grenadier comes in.

I also had the opportunity to test drive the IG.
My 60 KM/90 minutes test drive (Petrol, Utility Wagon, odometer 426 KM) was May 19, 2023 on-road, it was a drive through the woods on paved and steep and winding roads and small villages. The engine had a sonorous sound and enough power for the steeper sections, but I look forward for the Diesel and its immense torque (Driving Diesel for 20+ years spoiled me ).
What I miss is the speedometer right in front of me. My wife misses a mirror in the sun shield.

Our test drive was all off road, the thing practically drove itself. I wish we could have driven on paved roads as well but the vehicles we had could not be driven on the streets at that time. As you know Texas in July and August (well pretty much all year) can be hot, I hope the A/C is good!

I was only allowed an off road drive as well so the first time I drove on paved roads was driving back from handover. I was really pleasantly surprised how well it drives on road, really composed and soaked up the potholes really well and nice and controlled through the corners too. Given it is coil sprung and not independent air suspension it’s amazing imho. I shouldn't worry about on pavement driving. Can’t help with the performance of the AC in a TX summer though
