HI everybody,
after many years at blacklandy.eu it is time to find another forum for another car.I am from Northrheinwestfalia (NRW) in the nort-west of Germany and hold the reservation for my Grenadier since 8:27 in the morning of the 30th of September 2021. Cant wait for the 18th of May, to place the order :-)

Best regards

Max

Guten tag Max, what spec are you going for and options?

Moin Max, wound be interested too, especially which engine.

(With which name may I know you from blacklandy?)

Welcome to the forum Max, plenty of good material and discussion to get stuck into!

It will be the Fieldmaster with all electrical wireing and the second batterie. Front and rear lockers will be ordered as well for sure.
Regarding the colour I will probably take a red one with black roof. So I can alway see which one is mine :-)
I wonder if anybody else likes the red metalic colour?

The engine is the hardest part. Till yesterday I thought I will take the petrol engine as the millage will not be to high. Otherwise I can use the car easier for long distances if it does not consume to much on the highway. So right now I think it will become a diesel.

Nevertheless there is no wrong decision with the engine in my opinion. Both are very good and have their own strengths. I will enjoy whatever I choose.

The red INEOS has chosen is a lovely shade IMO. I'm not normally a fan of red cars, but "Queens Red" is very nice

> there is no wrong decision with the engine in my opinion.

That's a very good statement, I agree: "Klagen auf äußert hohem Niveau" nennt man das wohl. ;-)

Welcome to the Forum ...

...und viele Grüße aus dem schönen Odenwald ?

BTW: Can you tell why they at blacklandy.eu completely removed the Grenadier thread? Had it become too threatening?

The Grenadier might have been „off topic“
?

There is a Grenadier-thread at the Off-Topic subforum. All posts will be deleted after 60 days.

"bemax" and "emax" - do I see a pattern here? (-; A very warm welcome, and greetings from Switzerland! ?

?
emax is far longer on this forum than i am. I did not know that there was an emax on this forum when i chose my name. It was quit a suprise to see his name after looking trough some posts...There is a "max" as well here, so it can get quite confusing for everybody...Nevertheless my Avatar shows the most beautiful red TD5. This is quite unique!

As far as I am concerned: No.

My nick is an acronym to the honor of the emacs editor which I use as a software developer. My swiss-army-knife for developing, compiling, debugging, editing and for countless other things under linux. And for me, there is absolutely no higher decoration for a tool than "swiss-army-knife". Not kidding and not flattering on you.

I have been using this editor since 1992, and though I am learning something new about it really every single damn day, I have after 30 years(!) just scratched 5% of what it is capable to do. That deserves a tribute and hence my nick.

The comic tells a lot. It's however a hard-core-insider joke. ;-)

well the meaning of my name is far easier to guess.
The photo is real beside the whitened number plate. No photoshop needed this beautiful evening!

OMG, @emax, that cartoon is sooo cool! I have been working with all of them, including VIM's hardcore ancestor VI. Good ole' times (-:

OK, @bemax, now im officially jealous. What a gorgeous looking car.

That's nice to hear. And than you know what I mean ?

... and probably understand the comic ;-) .

BTW: I only use vi once on any new machine: to configure my emacs.

@bemax

When you sell the TD5, please let me know. Maybe I get unreasonable. Not kidding.
