Hallo Stu, hallo Leute,
Seit einigen Tagen bin ich neu im Forum und es ist Zeit Hallo zu sagen.
Noch bin ich kein stolzer Besitzer eines IG und bestellt ist er auch noch nicht. Ich hatte jedoch das Glück, ihn schon mehrmals fahren zu können und was soll ich sagen, es wäre ein Traum. Was mich abhält sind die unzähligen Berichte über Mängel, auch hier im Forum.
Es ist so, dass ich lange gespart habe und ein Fahrzeug brauche, das zuverlässig funktioniert.
Nun hab ich gehört, dass die Probleme im Wesentlichen bis zur Baunummer 9000 vorgelegen haben und neue IG verlässliche Partner sind. Doch je mehr ich hier lese, desto besorgter werde ich.

Welcome to the forum. But as you are in constant thoughts about the quality of the Grenadiner you might never own one.
Please keep in mind that the majority here has only minor issues with their cars. And not everyone wants to repost if someone else has a problem that doesn’t exist for the most of us.
But anyway Ineos has a long way to go before the company is coping well with all the problems the car had from the beginning.
Whether you can afford it is not just a question of money but a question of mindset in my opinion.
So if you want a perfect car with nothing but the regular services you might look for another brand right now.
But you don’t have to worry.
It’s just the decision which car you want. Nothing that your happiness should rely on.

Bemax, You are absolutely right!
I was used to Defenders for almost 25 years, nothing in the world of a car can shock me!

Talking about the IG, in the beginning, I was worried about serious issues.

But so far by now, my IG had only minor issues that would not let me think about a wrong dicision to buy that truck.

Every day I jump in it, even today, just to give it a pressure cleaning after a dirty hunting trip, gives me the onviction that I'm sitting behind a matchting steering wheel!

If You are not willing to be prepared of mionor issues, better go for a Toyota!
