Grenadier Spotted

I love that grey wrap as I prefer the matt colour. I fear if I had it done that I would shred it in no time through our narrow country lanes and the African bush.
Hope you're wrong, as I had mine wrapped in Stealth PPF.

@DaBull Dane! I saw your red lobster on the latest Ineos Red Noland dealer commercial. It looks like they used footage from the 1 oh1 class we took. They have you going through the water putting up a nice wave. Some other good rock, crawling footage, can’t tell everybody else’s, but yours definitely stands out.
They didn’t use the footage of me trying to rearrange the rocks.

Grenadier is priced so high in Finland that sales numbers are small. I've heard three have been sold earlier and two recently. Possibly all diesel-engined that have been registered as trucks for road tax reasons. Additionally they need to have speed limiter set to 89 km/h and later also huge rear view mirrors.

This was spotted close to my shop in Piikkiö, FInland

Do you have a lot of G-Wagens there? Are the rules to protect and Finnish producer of vehicles?

New G-Wagens are as rare as Grenadier. In the early years it was perhaps not terribly expensive and there were a few. Now possibly rusted away ...

We have only one small car factory specialized in production of small series cars for MB, Porche, BMW, etc. No local rules for protection.

Is Stealth PPF a matte coating? I'm new to coatings in general and still learning. :ROFLMAO:
Hi Slov
Stealth PPE is an opaque, see through wrap made by a company called Xpel. It will hide nothing of the original paint but hopefully the half mm thickness, and self healing properties will protect the original paintwork. You can purchase the Xpel product in a satin finish, or clear.
Guarantee is ten years which is good as this is not a cheap process. Takes around five days on the Grenadier.

I'm curious as to how it will stand up to branches and scrub, mine gets some stick ( pun intended) in this respect. Stealth PPE on a mall cruise is one thing, be interesting to see how it copes on a work vehicle.

In fact one these three is of my friend:-) He did opt for the 1924 Belstaff edition (delivered a month ago) after he did test drive mine in September 2023. He had to do his truck license just a few months ago in order to save some 30 or 40k of Euros. Also from the picture he did send me I saw that they have a special radar in the front grill? What is it for? Just surveilling the speed and that you are driving on the truck lane only? BTW I will be in Finnland in two weeks.

“ Stealth PPE is an opaque, see through wrap”. Huh? Opaque and see through are contradictory terms? Translucent and clear? Matte and clear are hard to do since usually the surface is not smooth to give the lower gloss.

Coating also implies some sort of liquid state during application. These are films, or if multi layered laminate films.

What ever DaBull has on his red one is great. It’s matte and sheds the sticky red mud here easier than my paint.

I have no idea
We don't have toll roads or anything else to use any payment readers. Radar detectors are forbidden. Could be something for the speed limiter?
BTW I will be in Finnland in two weeks.
Most probably me too, before returning to Spain. I will be around SW Finland, Turku area.
