GLOBEGUARD - It Works!

Wonder if Parallels Desktop would allow you to use your Mac to update the device?
I have tried on my Mac running parallels and I can’t get it to work, the usb driver is the issue, I have also tried VMware, which now I have tried I prefer it to parallels but unfortunately the same. I just ordered a cheap windows 11 $250 laptop off amazon. (I have a 2nd use for it as well so not too bad)

Questions are:
  1. Is the GG device bound to one particular car or is it usable for an arbitrary number of Grenadiers? Regardless of whether it's the more expensive 1:n brand variant or not.
  2. Will the OBD2-reader be a brick if you don't want to upgrade for (starting at ....) 245 CHF? Or can you still use it as before even without a having bought and installed a pending update?
  3. Are sub-releases included? i.e.: If I buy a version 1.5, will an update to 1.6 and all V1.n versions be included and only a V2 version (i.e. a major version change) will be have to be paid?
  4. How often are updates to be expected?

Let’s hope this Globegiard OBD reader works for everything inc ,service reset, TPMs programming, fault clearing and programming of new batteries, @Greasemonkey. We have to trust that Ineos is onboard with this and that it doesn’t become an expensive defunct ornament if Ineos deside to change software or lock all non Ineos approved OBD readers out.

Is there a universal or general unit that we can use with GM, Ford, Ineos, Jeep, Mercedes, etc? Or is the Ineos unit the only one that we can use with an Ineos?

Thank you,
There's a professional version which adds additional vehicles to the Ineos.... The Globe guard website explains this;)
