gas spring on the door

Hello,

I lost or broke both end caps of the gas spring on the door. Ineos doesn't sell them, but only with the damper for around €400.

Can anyone help me find these caps? I just can't find anything.

I basically need a slotted cap with a mount for a 13mm ball. Unfortunately, the damper mounts are imperial, not metric. So I can't simply replace the damper end.

It would also be helpful if someone could take a photo of these caps removed, so I can do an image search.

Check a scrapyard or auto parts store for universal gas strut end caps. Look for a kit with a 13mm ball socket. They're common on many car hoods and tailgates, so you should find a match.
