Eibach sway bars???

Coming from a Rubicon 392 - always had the electronic sway bar disconnect, which made a huge difference when off-road. Super easy too - just hit the button.

Looks like the Metalcloak sway bar disconnects would do the trick, however will require getting under the car to disconnect / reconnect.

Came across the Agile Apex AirLYNX Disconnects - which appear to allow you to leave connected and only adjust the air pressure. But - they say they are for the REAR. They don't state FRONT, which is all I'm after.

Has anyone tried these out yet? And are they only for the rear or will they work for the front? I did send Agile an email this morning asking for clarification, but also curious if anyone here has any experience with these?

Any input appreciated.
@derek0343 had them installed. See his post here. I believe he is still waiting on the front to be released.

Solid info, thanks for posting.

Closing the loop on this. The fox 2.5 is a notable improvement. I'm still a bit too heavy for my rear springs so I'm going to add the eibach 500lbs HD springs to the rear (+1.4") and to correct the front rake I'll install the eibach 1.7" front springs.

This should be great for my standard daily driver load and work well for when loaded up for camping. Just in case I'm towing something heavy I'm going to add airbagman bags to the rear. It's cost effective to do while I'm replacing the springs anyway and seems like cheap insurance.

I've sent a note to airbag man in Australia to find the right part number for the bags when using the HD springs (unless someone here knows)?

Afer driving this for a while I'll make a call if swaybar is needed or not. I suspect I won't need it.

I've talked to another member who have this setup for similar reasons and I've talked extensively with someone who works on Grenadier suspension all the time including doing race support and this has become the consensus amongst all the folks I've talked to

And yes, I acknowledge that I'm basically becoming a habitual modder and tinkerer on my Grenadier!

The suspension in the rear has poor link geometry that only gets worse with any lift at all. This causes serious rise of the rear under braking. Increasing rear spring rates will help immensely.

I'm getting them fitted on August 14th.
Compatible with the eibach HD springs?

My bad. There are different kits for standard versus lifted suspension. You want this kit for a 25-30mm raised suspension.

I've fixed my post above so it doesn't throw anyone else off track.

They seem to be out of stock at airbag man Australia.
Any chance you know someone who stocks them?
I can even have my friend in Melbourne buy a set for me, I'm visiting Australia in September.

The reseller I'm using order in stock on demand.
These guys say they have stock. If you have until September Airbagman may have new stock.

Any idea on how big and heavy that package is.
the airbag kit is half price if i buy it in australia vs if i buy it from their authorized reseller in the US.
I'm in Australia in September i am tempted at just bringing it home with in my luggage unless its so bulky that i can't.

The kit comes in a carton that is 27cm x 19cm x 40cm @2.7kg.

Call it 10.7" x 7.5" x 16" @ 6lbs

Airbagman will have the CR5183HP kit assembled and back on the shelf tomorrow (that's Friday) so your Melbourne buddy could place an order and have it waiting for you.
I can PM you the deets for a rep at Airbagman if you need more info.

No need, i can wait until next week. I'm in Tokyo this week anyway.
That size package easily fits in my luggage. I may even ask my friend to ship it to me.

(at the risk of derailing this thread a bit)...
I find it interesting that the airbagman bags are literally half price in Australia vs in the US and the Redarc bcdc alpha 50 is just about the same price in each country. i wonder if the airbagman stuff made in china and got the 55% tariff on it?
I've read that the redarc is made in australia which is 10% tariff for the US.

Yes, this is well off topic but it's your thread! But now you've gone and said the T word so it's about to turn to 💩

The blue airbags are made by Firestone. They manufacture in the US, China, Brazil, Poland and Costa Rica. I have no idea where these specific products are made. Perhaps the US dealers are taking a healthy profit and don't expect anyone to import directly. A form of lazy tax.

Probably true, distribution can add a lot of cost and make it hard for a vendor to break into a market.
