I see 2 torx on the strike. When these are loosened your saying there is play to move the position?Adjust the door striker is what I did and it’s now perfect. Before you do this, lubricate the door latch first to see if there is any improvement.
Yes. You can move them up, down, in and out. Ideally it should be moved down and slightly out to make the door close easier but make sure door is flush. There are markings on them to align and compare. Don’t fully tighten until you’re happy with the shut.I see 2 torx on the strike. I notice this when I have the safari window closed it requires more effort to close than when they are open. The last door to close often needs a bit more of a heave because of cabin pressure. Open another door and then close the driver door to see if makes a difference.
Reminds me of the old car ad joke:The last door to close often needs a bit more of a heave because of cabin pressure. Open another door and then close the driver door to see if makes a difference.
That’s normal from the pressure inside. That’s why they have pressure relieve flaps on the rear making a tiny noise when slamming the door.I notice this when I have the safari window closed it requires more effort to close than when they are open.
