Technical details
The 25 amp Deutsch plugs used in the INEOS are two pin DTP style plugs, with size 12 pins rated at 25 amps (14-12AGW wire size). See images below.

These plugs can be found on the roof (4 locations) - if you selected the auxiliary power option. There are no Deutsche DTP plugs in the footwells, battery compartment or under the bonnet, only bare wires.

Parts numbers are:
• DTP06-2S (male housing, female pins) with wedgelock (2S means two sockets for the DTP06 plug);
• DTP04-2P (female housing with male pins) with wedgelock (2P means two plugs for the DTP04 plug);
• 0460-204-12141 Pin Contacts (male) (pins only)
• 10462-203-12141 Socket Contacts (female) (sockets only)

There are many different types of Deutsch plugs, the one used on the INEOS auxiliary power option are the two pin DTP plug shown on the bottom left of this image.

Fitting
The positive and negative wires need to be correctly crimped onto the male pin contacts (0460-204-12141) and the female socket contacts (10462-203-12141).

The two male contact pins are inserted into the shorter plug (DTP04-2P) and the two female socket contacts are inserted into the longer plug (DTP06-2S). Wedgelocks are then need to be inserted into both sides of the Deutsch plug.

Make sure you have correct polarity between the two wires you are joining (positive on cable one matches with positive on cable two and negative with negative). Instructional video on Deutsch plugs here (they use two pin DT rather than DTP style plugs).

Tip: unsure what to do? Use a qualified installer or auto electrician.

Closed or open barreled pins/sockets
You can buy either closed or open barreled pins/sockets for the Deutsch DTP plugs. Having tested both, closed barreled pins/sockets are better. More information here and here.

Deutsch sealing plugs
There is also a white sealing plugs for the Deutsch DTP plugs (see image below), which are those white ends you see on the Deutsch DTP plugs fitted to the IG.

Deutsch Mounting Clips
I noticed there are mounts on the DTP clips and opening my eyes found these mounting clip options. Like any Deutsch part, they can be expensive. One metal clip is listed at over AUD$18, although the plastic ones are much cheaper.

Buying Deutsch plugs
In Australia. you can buy Deutsch plugs here. Links below have been added for other countries.

Australia - custom Deutsch Kit for INEOS Grenadier
The Deutsch Kit from Connector-Tech ALS, customised for the INEOS Grenadier, is up on their website, look here:
  1. Plugs with crimping tool; or
  2. Plugs only.
UK crimping tool
iCrimp tool here on Amazon UK. Size 12 crimper for pins/sockets used in DTP plugs. A UK shop was suggested here. Also check the following post as well.

EU DTP plugs
Discount Autosport here. Autosport websites seem to commonly stock Deutsch Plugs across various countries.

USA
Agile Offroad here.

Deutsch DTP on IG roof
This image, from the IG, shows a complete pair of Deutsch DTP plugs (probably no sockets in the DTP06-2S and maybe no wedgelock). I have added labels (which Connector-Tech ALS has confirmed are correct, sorry no idea who posted the original image):

Some real world experiences
I have the Deutsch Connector Removal Tools to remove Deutsch pins/sockets from the DTP plugs. In real world use, a pair of long nose pliers (hobby size) makes the removal easier. Tip: locate the locking pin in the plug (you may need to remove a wedge), press down on the locking pin with the long nose pliers and pull out the pin/socket. Repeat for the other pin/socket. You could also use a small flat blade screwdriver instead of the pliers, but the advantage of the pliers is they grip the plug as well.

Thousand thanks !!! This post on Deutsch plugs exemplifies exactly what I have been hoping the forum will provide in the future : accurate technical data, freely given with good will for the benefit of all.
Well done. I've been a bit overwhelmed to be honest at the myriad options for Deutsch connectors wondering how to make sense of it all before adding yet more specialised tools to the "must have" collection!!!
If we meet on the track somewhere I'll make sure the beer is cold!😇
Hope you're having a peaceful Easter.

Look here.

Only the two pin plugs are relevant.

Amazon and eBay also have other choices, but I prefer to stick to quality sellers as I travel remotely and wish to minimise equipment failures.

DTP crimping tool for size 12
Rhino Tools have one here. Rhino generally only sell good tools, from my experience. I have used this tool but believe the crimper from CTALS gives a slightly superior crimp (both do a good job). Reasons given here.

Thanks, it took about two weeks of work to verify all the details.

I now only need to work out which side of the plug is on the INEOS itself the DTP06-2S or the DTP04-2P before I wire up my UHF, once my parts arrive. My first impression is the roof power outlets are fitted with the longer plug, whose part number is DTP06-2S, but I am still confirming that.

I am having a quite Easter recovering from the car crash. Ordering the INEOS was one of the few upsides!

Thanks for that, I note that the eBay store offer (No. 1) includes 10 x pin & 10 x socket contacts to go along with the 5 x plugs.
Or perhaps that’s what you meant by “pairs”…?

Appreciate the time you took to explain and collate those links!
I was going to jump my UHF and GPS off a spare fuse or two but this is a better solution.

Yes there are some other choices, I just tried to keep it simple, to avoid confusion. I have now added a third choice for the eBay store, all the DTP items.

I bought some matching pairs (meaning plugs with pins and sockets) with some pins and sockets only.

My first job, once the plugs arrive, will be to crimp them onto the bare wire of the new UHF. It will then plug it into the driver's or passenger’s footwell power outlets, when the IG arrives alter this year. I know I am going early but it’s part of my rehab from the accident.

The pins/sockets are included in the item you listed. However while they are listed in the description they are not actually shown in the product images. Best wishes for your recovery, this seems a worthwhile diversion!

Closed and open ended pins and sockets available

The pins and sockets for the Deutsch DTP plug comes in two versions, open ended and closed ended. Closed being more common (parts numbers supplied above). The open ended pins and sockets can be crimped using most standard crimpers, unlike the closed ended where you need a specialist Deutsch crimper (one way to save money).

Opened ended pins and sockets can be called stamped and formed contacts (they look like the ends of the more common crimp terminals used in cars). Images here: https://www.te.com/usa-en/product-CAT-D48-SFT273.html

One downside is that stamped and formed pins/sockets (open ended) have more joins and seams, so more vulnerabilities to failures in the field. I might buy couple of each and put them in my in-car spares kit, so I can use them in the field, for a temporary fix. I can them replace it when I get home, if needed. That way, I only need to take my standard crimping tool into the field and not the Deutsch crimper as well.

I also noticed you can buy gold plated pins and sockets (I only saw those for closed ended).

The second battery is a very attractive inclusion for the intended Dashcam, UHF and other misc. add ons for which I'll be using the Deutsch connectors. Understanding the "Deutsch system" is almost like acquiring a new skill!(stave off dementia!🤪)
Am wondering if the footwell and other outlets are powered by the second battery... has that been clarified elsewhere?

I do not know as yet.

They will either be on the main battery busbar (7 studs) or aux. busbar (5 studs). So theoretically its should not be difficult to change to your liking.

cool, if Ineos is sealing the connection with a dummy mating connector with sealing plugs you can pop the sealing plugs out and reuse connector with the correct pin or socket. The Deutsch stuff is great and comes apart easily with the right de-pinning tools.

My order arrived yesterday. The crimper looks like it is of good quality, but I have not tested it yet as I bought some cheaper pins/sockets from eBay to do a test. I will save the CTALS ones for the real thing. EDIT: the CTALS crimpers make great crimps.

Does the Connector Tech bundle include the contact pins? Not obvious from the ebay illustration... I thought they were "extra"
Denis

This one does. The Description down the page makes that clear, but it is rather long. I can confirm they came with my order of that item.

I also bought some spare pins/sockets from the CTALS website, as a separate order.

Install more accessories using a cable splitter

If you wish to install more than one accessory using the footwell DTP plugs you can buy a cable splitter.

Make sure the two accessories do not use more than 25 amps in total or you will overload the circuit and the ratings of DTP plugs.

I will also have a fuse between each accessory and the cable splitter. I am thinking a UHF and dashcam in the passenger’s footwell (RHD car).

I have purchased a STEDI cable splitter as a test. The item can be found here. When you select the cable splitter you must choose between a DT and a DTP version. The DTP version is the correct one, subject to it fitting as warned above.

Next time Purnell Adventure have a car I am going to test it, as mine is some way off.

I just crimped the first female sockets onto the UHF (CB) wires using a Deutsch crimping tool, it was easy as. I just slowly trimmed the bare wire until I had the right length after watching the Wurth video.

I will only insert the sockets into the plug when I know which side is used in the footwell – I will not be making assumptions. Remembering to get the polarity correct.

Tip: You also need to test for continuity, from the crimped socket to the other end of the wire before installing the UHF, which I have done.

Tip 2: to get the stripped wire to the correct length for insertion into the pin/socket, you can insert the cable unstripped into the pin/socket. Once in place, use a black marker around the insulation near the top of the pin/socket. Take the cable out and strip the wire at the black mark. The stripped wire should very close to the correct length. This only works if the insulated wire is thinner than the pin/socket opening. If it is too thick, measure the wire on the outside of the pin/socket to the obvious ring around the pin/socket and mark it that way. Both ways worked well for me.

Getting quality plugs and the right tools made life so much easier. The money you pay for the tools and parts will be cheaper than an auto electrician (which now charge more than medical specialists here in Australia, based on recent experience).
