I could have made a big mistake. Thanks for that.Bluntly, you cannot. The UK and EU effectively banned them in 2007 as they need to be type approved and almost nothing can pass. The last years of the old Defender saw a molded plastic front bar. As the Grenadier is a recent design, you will not find anything actually legal in the UK.
There is an exception for winch bumpers, as the use case is more important than simply meeting Construction and Use regulations, but as the Grenadier has a compliant winch mount available, I would not want to be the test case for a non-OE fitment.
When you apply for UK vehicle insurance you are asked to confirm that your vehicle is legal on the road. If you have a big accident, your vehicle will be inspected and if there are some non-compliant or non-declared accessories added, your insurance may be voided at the insurance company's discretion. That could get expensive and criminal.
If you are taking your Grenadier to somewhere bull bars are legal or even advisory, you will need to source and fit one there. Also you will need to be prepared to take it off when you return to the EU/UK.

(As for the wordage on the Gov.UK site, forget it; it is a very "high level" summary. The legality is tied to type approval and construction and use regulations, not easy to find primary legislation. A pre-2007 bar on a pre-2007 vehicle will be fine; anything post 2007 MUST be type approved for insurance purposes.)
