Petrol/Gas Black soot like dust in the engine compartment . Anyone know why this would happen ? I have 60,000 miles and it was fine at last check in.

Black soot like dust in the engine compartment . Anyone know why this would happen ? I have 60,000 miles and it was fine at last check in.Truck runs fine , When going above 55 miles an hour on a load you can hear a wheezing sound on acceleration think is the turbo.

That might be. I am going to have to take it in and have it looked at.

It could be a cooling hose rubbing the serpentine belt or a pulley, worth a good look at the front end.

Petrol engine I believe.
