Hi Everyone
Ok…..
So a few weeks ago my awesome dealer fixed a few things on Shitake including the complete door handle change. (Which I stated I did not want but was seemingly obliged to accept🤷🏼‍♂️)
Everything seemed fine, all working fine with new keys etc etc.
Since this, I have had repeated problems with alarm initiation with no apparent cause.
I have even resorted to locking mechanically using the key, with an unexplained alarm initiation following this, which to me is inexplicable as I was under the impression that this would NOT apply any alarm!?
Has this happened to others and if so was there a simple solution?
Something else that is occurring is that the rear door when locked will open a small amount (kind of half releasing but the door moves open only about a cm or half an inch) and this initiates the alarm which I would expect but the lock should not open at all in my opinion! 🤔
Sorry if this is maybe unclear but I’m kinda struggling to explain in a simple msg.
Cheers

Did those few things include a firmware upgrade?

Mine will in a couple of weeks.

I’d be guessing a yes but was not told anything. They’re always unhappy about providing work schedules for some reason. 🤷🏼‍♂️

If the rear door isn't catching fully, it sounds like the lock hasn't been fitted properly.

This is most likely the issue as I mentioned a VERY sticky rear button and they “resolved” it for me 🤣🙄
If anyone has DIY skills for this I’d appreciate a home fix 🤷🏼‍♂️🙏🏼

I’m going to try using the normal method of locking and unlocking today and see how this goes. Whilst staying close to the needy pet!
VERY interestingly it does NOT happen overnight in a quieter parking area.
My boys reckon it’s just curious humans in a very busy ski area car park 🤷🏼‍♂️

I had problems with my rear doors and not being able to lock the vehicle. I found I needed to adjust these catches out slightly. All sorted IMG_7223.jpeg

Thanks
But I fear they have done something “inside”the actual rear door handle/lock .
The door locks perfectly well with the usual solid “thunk”, but even when locked the hutton depresses and the door comes off it’s locked position and triggers the alarm.
I will look at these though as it may have been what was done.
Last resort will be to try and chat to my super helpful technician if I can get to him. 🤞🏽
