AEB Error

I’ve had my Grenadier over a year now. It’s been in the shop over two months of that time. I feel like I’m finally getting close to having everything sorted. The last thing is an AEB error that I’ve had since owning it. It happens when I’m at a stop and go to accelerate.
Has anyone else experienced this? I was hoping the software update would fix this but it’s still happening.

I get it randomly. I'm 4 hours from my dealer, so can't just stop by. The service manager says it is probably a 15 minute fix having to do with camera alignment. I'll post up if it gets resolved.

It's the nightmare of my every drive around town.

When I start the truck, I usually turn off all speed assist and LDW functions. If I forget and the truck is not in neutral or drive (i.e., if it's still in park) when I do this, the moment I shift into drive the AEB warning light comes on. It also frequently comes on when I need to back up (something the mile wide turning radius often requires). Also I've had the AEB light go on if I am stopped in drive with my foot on the brake and the truck rolls back even an inch when I take my foot off the brake and accelerate. I've also had it come on in urban driving (e.g., when there are people crossing right in front of the truck at a cross walk).

I have not figured out how to reset the AEB warning light unless I either turn off the ignition or disable all ADAS functions and then re-enable them and then (of course) selectively disable ADAS functions (like all speed assist functions and lane departure warning).

I find the flashing light distracting (which means dangerous) but even if I have a passenger who can fiddle with the screen while I watch the road I haven't figured how to turn this off unless you come to a pretty full stop which isn't always safe. It's rarely a problem on the highway at least.

I hate idiot lights. For example, I have no idea what I'm supposed to do when the screen starts flashing speed assist limited function. The speed assist makes stuff up enough when it's on that I wonder if it's some kind of joke to randomly tell me the function is limited every now and then. I try to remember to turn off the entire speed assist as well as the LDW every time I start the truck (since of course we can't be allowed to make these choices permanently). And why oh why do the idiot lights still flash when you're in offroad mode? Isn't the whole point of choosing offroad supposed to be an acknowledgement that you are (ahem) no longer following the rules of the road?

I love my truck but for the effectively unprogrammable computer which consistently drives me crazy. (I have spent a lot of my life doing computer programming.) If anyone has a proven and safe way for the driver to turn off the AEB warning light without stopping and/or going through a bunch of menu options, please share!
