How does you SW ride and drive on oem 18” wheels and 34” ko3s? Some dealers are stocking some of their inventory with this combo.

How is the ride on highways, streets and off road?

I'm running the 33" K03. They are quiet and smooth at freeway speeds. Sorry, no data on larger sizes.

I have 33’s on 17’s. Great ride. Sorry cannot comment on 34’s. Likely no difference other than pushing the boundaries of clearance on stock springs.

What tire ( K03s?) & size are you running to get 33"?

Most modern AT tires by the big brand manufacturers are supremely quiet on road. Splitting hairs.

I run 295/70 KO3s on 17" OEM steelies. Smooth like butter up to 99 mph. Quiet. However, they're boring because they're so good and everyone seems to be running them. Never been a huge fan of KO tread.

Swapping them out for Yokohama Geolandar G003s soon. Set of 5 lightly used KO3s available for sale in Los Angeles. :)

Gl!

I have 285/75r17 K03 tires. It's slightly under 34". Tires are great, I think the K03's are better in light snow than the K02's. I had the K02 on the 21 4Runner and it would get....spicy....in a corner in light snow. K03, planted.

any rubbing? any lift? tks

I love the 285/75/17 too, same size. No lift. For me drives better on highway due to wider tread. More sidewall eats up some or the ride harshness.

Anybody having to off-set the spare tire mount to get the rear door open with these tire sizes?

285/70/17

285/75/17
295/70/17

Gotta list the tire brand/model dude. They don't all size up the same.

E.g.

~5mm of clearance, BFG KO3s, no messing about! Yokohama Geolandar G003s do not clear.

Adding to the thread. Running 315/70R17 K03. Technically a 35, but its a ~34.5. With a 1.7/1.2 lift, it has MINIMAL rubbing at full lock. Not enough to damage the lining or require cutting. Interference with rear door, I put on a Leitner bracket rather than washers.

Just switched to 295/70r17 Firestone MT2. Measures 33.5” diameter. Clears rear door by 5-7mm, eyeballing it. Had some rubbing on the rear right fender liner at hard left hand turns. I removed my mudflaps and tucked the liner behind and reinstalled the flaps. That got me about 1.5” more clearance, and now no rubbing.

Recommended wheel width is minimum 8.5” for a 315 tire. Any lift totally compromises front driveshaft pinion angles.

When my current tires wear out, I'm going to try the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT 255/85r17.
