I know this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I thought I post it for those who are looking and for those in the future.

Not many 20” wheels for the Grenny but Vossen makes a couple. They have it set ride for the rig if you order. No measuring needed.

Something I learned if you want to add the 5th wheel, you’ll need a spare relocation mount. Goes in same general area and allows to face the wheel outwards as well.

These are 20x9.5 with 33x12.5 Nitto Recon Grapplers.

Pic with hood up was at a car show. Just pulled in after being there an hour. Tons of looky Lou’s in the parking lot. Was a hit at the shows with tons of questions about her.

I went with 255/85 r17 Baja Boss with forged 17” wheels but I think these look pretty cool. I wish more companies made forged 17’s. Good wheels for the grenny are hard to find

It would be nice if a few of the more popular aftermarket wheel choices for the Grenadier had offsets a bit closer to the stock wheels +55. I know Method produces wheels around +50mm which is ideal but their styles are somewhat limited. I know aggressive tire poke is what most folks are looking for and the aftermarket is simply responding accordingly but there are a few of us who’d like a bit more conservative setup but still have nice styled wheel options but keep the scrub radius near stock and mud splatter within the fenders as much as possible.

The aftermarket is just rolling with what was already available or in the works for the Sprinter Van etc since it's the same pattern. That why they were so readily available the day the truck launched.

I'd be happier with a bit less width and a narrower tire for sure.

I think +35-+40 is good. I got these titan forged wheels and they seem very good quality. They’re +39

Black rhino arsenal 18" that originally was two tone desert/black colored. They got a bit of road rash from driving the Rubicon in California. Had them cleaned up and powder coated in dark carbon metallic.

Going to mount them on my Grenadier just before the Moab trip with geolandar M/T g003 tires. I think those tires are pretty legit, I have them on another car and they work well. Plus I like the look of the extra sidewall blocks for running low psi.

Speaking for myself, a side benefit of ditching the timeless stock steelies for slightly wider, slightly more poke aftermarket aluminum set is weight savings. These Black Rhinos are boat anchors. I'm guessing 35+ lbs or porkier than stock steelies.

Aside from an eye pleasing aesthetic, I'm looking for 17s that are properly load rated, hub-centric, wider than stock to fit 12.5" tires, poked out and < 30 lbs each. It helps to make up for the inevitable heavier upsized tires most run .

Bolt on. No rubbing. If doing 5th wheel you will need to buy a new mount to have it facing out as OEM one faces inwards.
