Were you stationed in Vicenza, Italy?Jumped C130s, Chinook, Huey, and C141.
Cool! I grew up in Shalimar, FL (N of Hurlburt) and have fond memories of hearing the Spectre's miniguns, bofors and 105's off in the distance when I was a kid, playing outside (do kids do that anymore?) Don't know what range was within earshot, but I heard it. Maybe over the Choctawhatchee Bay?Retired USAF 1986 to 2010.
Flew AC-130H Gunships and MC-130s for 20 years. Love the Grenadier and love to see fellow vets from all over the globe here!
Ahhh Shalimar! Brings up memories! We get back to FWB/Navarre/Defuniak Springs about once or twice a year. All my inlaws live there. Miss living there for years but for us we do not miss the traffic and the humidity!Cool!
