Hey Everyone,

The time has come, after seeing INEOS develop a bit more, the growing popularity (albeit not in AK) and seeing INEOS successfully deliver units the last two years and quite frankly losing trust and interest in Toyota's latest generation of products. I've officially pulled the trigger on a 2025 Grenadier out of Elliott Bay in Seattle. Have a few business trips in Seattle over the next month so I won't be bringing it up to Anchorage until Late September / October, if anything I figured that would be a good time to break it in and keep it close to Elliott Bay if anything needed to be done before bringing it up the ALCAN.

Any recommendations from anyone in AK that I should get done down in the lower 48 before bringing it up? I will be installing some windshield protection, assuming like my old FJ the nearly vertical windshield seems to be prone to rock chips and cracking so looking at NASCAR Style peel off windshield film. Looking forward to getting her up here to see how she does.

Nate,

Think about a couple of things that are hard or impossible to do later.

1) Factory trailer hitch. If you intend to do any towing, it’s far easier and cheaper to get it factory installed because of the wiring.

2) Safari windows are only availible as a factory option. I pop mine open nearly every day in the summer if the dog is with me which is usually. Great for the summer.

3) Think about the extra high load switch panel and power take off wiring. I didn’t order it and I have no regrets but I am not sure I fully realized how much utility they might add later, especially the extra high load system (for ease of adding a winch). It might be worthwhile to talk to a serious off roader to better understand their utility.

Hey Pete,

Thanks for the info, I did have one spec'd out with those features, Triple Locked, High Load Aux Switch panel + wiring, Aux Charge Points, Safari Windows, BFG KO2's and Trailer Hitch (not that I intend on towing a lot but considering a small expedition trailer for a RTT and kitchen setup plus some more gear for those extended trips. I'd say she's pretty well optioned, just working through Alaska DMV at this point for registration etc. for out-of-sate purchase.
