Hi everyone, I am new here.

Very excited to take my Trialmaster into the Namib dunes for new years.

Any hints at how to manage the vehicle in the sand would be appreciated! I will try post some shots here in 2026.

regards, Carl

When people talk about life altering trips, this was one for us.
We did Faces in 2016 in our Range Rover and again last year in our FJ Cruiser. With the FJ we carried a total of 210L of fuel and just made it into Walvis on reserve. Fuel capacity is going to be your biggest challenge, but luckily with this trip you don’t need to carry a whole lot of extra crap so keep it as light as possible.
A fantastic trip, hope you enjoy it.

Hi Carl,

To my disgust, I somehow only just saw your post! 🤦‍♂️
I am sure you had a blast in the dunes recently.
We're looking forward to seeing some photographs and some report or debrief on this outing!
Having only done this trip in LCs (FJs) before, I'm keen to hear about your experience of the Grenadier's performance in the dunes.
