I just picked up my Quartermaster yesterday. I only got one key fob as the dealership could not find the 2nd one. Rather than delay things further they agreed to courier the 2nd key fob once it is located. Once I got home (2 hour drive), I discovered I was unable to lock the vehicle with the one key fob that I had. The unlock button worked and I could manually lock the vehicle using the blade in the keyhole. Furthermore, I could not lock the vehicle using the switch on the inside of the driver's door.
So my question is, does the Quartermaster have a “no lock out” feature where you are unable to lock your keys in the car? If so, I think the second key fob might be stored somewhere in the car. On that note, I have looked all over inside for the fob. Does anyone know if a crafty hiding spot where it might be located. I do have a call into the dealership on this point, but I thought I would check with all of you too.

If you cannot lock your vehicle from the fob, the first thing to try is open and shut all of the doors/boot/hood, as the fob will not work if one is ajar. (Mine was the hood, that needed to be dropped shut from 6 inches).

I don't believe the Grenadier has a 'no lock out' feature; that would require another ECU!

Check whether all doors including the hood and the back doors are all perfectly closed.

Thank you Thank you … I gave the hood a solid close and now my remote locks the doors. Now the dealership just needs to find my second fob. I’m loving learning about the vehicle. I really appreciate the group’s insights.
