I hardwired a Starlink Mini to the rear 12V socket of my vehicle, and it works great for internet. The problem is my phone constantly goes into a connection war between the Starlink and my INEOS system.

When my phone connects to the INEOS, CarPlay works.
When I connect to the Starlink, the INEOS interrupts it and pulls the phone back.
If I disconnect from the INEOS, CarPlay stops functioning entirely.

I tried forgetting the INEOS WiFi network and then plugging the phone in, but it still seems to auto connect anyway.

I do not really care about CarPlay as long as I can:
  1. Stream Spotify over Bluetooth to the truck
  2. Automatically connect to Starlink Mini when I enter the vehicle
Right now, it feels like INEOS insists on being the primary network and keeps stealing my phone off Starlink.

Has anyone dealt with this setup before?
Is there a way to force the phone to prioritize Starlink for data while still using Bluetooth audio for the vehicle?
Or disable the INEOS WiFi entirely while keeping Bluetooth active?

Appreciate any tips from people running Starlink in vehicle installs.

Thanks in advance.

Apple Wireless Carplay requires both the bluetooth and wifi connection to be actively connected to the car. The Ineos does NOT have wired Carplay.

The Starlink solution for me is to have my phone connected to Starlink Wifi, but connected only as a bluetooth audio device to the Ineos.

Did you delete your phone in the Ineos infotainment?
