Of all the mods to the suspension, one that I haven’t heard of is the ability to unlock the sway bar either manually (Jeep Rubi) or electronically/automatically (4Runner). Is it that difficult to post-engineer? How much is it worth? Would it cause issues with the standard tires or the upsized 285/70R18s?

Or is a sway bar disconnect more of a ‘rock crawler’ mod? I’m starting to see that the Grenny seems to more targeted at the ‘overland’ role, versus being the ultimate rock climber. The vehicle to get you to the adventure, not that vehicle that is the adventure? So is a sway bar disconnect ‘off brand’?

Sway bar disconnect on an unmodified Grenadier will be largely unremarkable considering its expected use. Not to say it's not a fun mod, just not overly necessary. The stock sway bars are fairly light as well so the truck utilizes all available travel. Plus, sway bars are often crucial in maintaining control of the body even when rock crawling.

My point is that it's probably not worth the trouble in most situations.

Sway bar disconnects are definitely more of a crawler mod than an off-highway travel mod; but as stated, MetalCloak does have a kit available
