Agile obviously has a bit of a different design. (Attaches to body vs. frame), but the clearance seems fantastic.
For those who have them, Aluminium vs. Steel?
Can see upsides and downsides to both, but just looking for some feedback from those that have either..

Thanks

Ok my thoughts.
- They are significantly more work to install then the other sets.
- Clearence, look, and protection is great.
- I have steal.... but looking back would have gone with Aluminum. I have already had to clear some rust and re-paint small portions that got scraped (the the powdercoat as these are very stout).
- Another issue with the steal is that the bolt holes that mount the skid to the mount on the body are also powdercoated (of course), but if there is even a tiny bit of M/A then the bolt rubs on the powder coat and gets down to metal that then starts to rust in the hole. Not awful but I don't like seeing rust like that.

Overall I really like the design and glad I got them, but probably would have gone aluminum if it was thick enough.

Steel will be 100% more resilient on an impact. It’s no mistake buying steel. None. Do not regret it if you’re actually using them as sliders. Also keep in mind there are no significant bends in the metal to increase moment of inertia. It a broad piece of sheet and it’s relying on the body sheetmetal to provide stiffness in the vertical plane.

That having been said, I’m considering them but if get them I’ll be adding strips of steel to prevent any deflection and bending of the body. I really really really want to like them.
