Wanting to plan a trip for a weekend day in Jan.

Looking for interest if anyone would want to join me tackling Sheep's bridge and up through bloody basin road. This route would start north East of Cave Creek and ride up though horseshoe reservoir before crossing the Verde River and then out over the Tonto National Forest. The entire route should be about 50miles off road, plan about 5hrs and a lunch stop. We would end up coming out by the I17 where we would depart. I was planning of the 10th of January but open to moving it around if we can get a few together to tackle the trip. Just reply if you are interested and I can begin to get the maps and details together. Also open to doing it in reverse.

Sounds like a great trip but I am busy then. I’ve done Bloody Basin from I-17 to Sheep’s Bridge but never crossed the Verde there. My daughter has done it in their Geo Tracker and Amigo. There’s a great hot spring pool to soak in at Sheep’s Bridge if you’re so inclined.

Going to push this plan trip a bit since there are storms coming in and as ShootingCar referenced the river will rise and maybe they will release water from the Dam that will also add to the river. Raincheck !
