I bought one of those caps and just had my payment refunded because it’s out of stock 🙄

Sorry Baron Von Teuchter Ian , could have saved you some ££££ if I had picked this up faster but the OEM caps cost me €20 each with the bar and rivets, still got some if you want one and I’ll be up in Huntley on 8th Sept for warranty, service, etc etc

What an absolute bitch to get that old cap off, resorted to the rotary persuader and lots and lots of care

Thanks @IneosGrenadierTech for the new cap and tips!

I used Alumslip

Junior hacksaw is the one for me, but glad you got it sorted. It must have been on there for quite some time! Happy to help 🫡

Yeah I made two longitudinal cuts with a junior hacksaw blade and it didn’t “spring” so I use the grinder to do a transverse cut so I could pop out the square. That still didn’t loosen it! I used a cold chisel and hammer to break off more of the cap - it was absolutely solid, at one with the socket.

Part of my weekly health checks will now be the NATO cap, only two years too late 🙄

I can certainly create one, but you'll be restricted to 500 amps from the standard wiring. If your fleet is little petrol engines, you should be okay
