I am sure there are quite a few on here who are interested in better performance. Currently it might be something that members don’t want to shout about. (Warranty’s Insurance, etc). What sort of things did you have in mind?

I'll fall into my American stereotype and admit that I would love to see a V8 one day. A V8 Quartermaster would be my absolute dream vehicle. I will purchase a QM when it's available, and if subsequently released I would also purchase a V8 Wagon and a V8 QM. This thread isn't about fixes, so I'll leave that stuff out altogether, but I think a Safari Edition, a Baja Edition or a Dakar Edition configured as purpose-built would be something I would go for - bigger tires and beefier suspension - improved approach angle - maybe even some enhanced exterior lighting. It would have to be tastefully done, but I would get much more excited about something like that than I am the Belstaff. Actually, another thing I would jump all over for a town vehicle would be a Melville and Moon collaboration with a decked out interior and maybe some exterior enhancements.

To be abundantly clear... I find it to be one of the best-performing vehicles I've ever driven, and I put a great deal of trust into it when I'm offroad. It is incredibly early in its development and we all know there are great things to come... whatever they may be. As those great things become available I'll be the first in line.

I can see all that you have mentioned (with exception of the V8), arriving in good time. I guess even the V8 could come by way of specialist conversion companies. Exciting, isn't it?

The QM is available here in the US. I have one on order with delievery in Q4

That said, what about the folks who preordered YEARS ago. IA should retroactively design custom badges of some sort (founding guard, series I, something) for all the pre-order owners!

Looks real to me. Most will end up in either Aus or America, I would think.

Do I like it ? ……I am non plused about it if a am honest. Those swanky wheels won’t look to good after the first off road trip though.

Put a VW V10 in it , I know our American cousins love a good ole V8 and I can’t blame them, they do sound fantastic, but I could take or leave it. I’d take it if I could get more MPG though.

I think other comments around a 1924 version that was more safari based, extra off road kit, external lights all round, mounted on a roof rack or the side bars etc, bigger wheels, and a lift as standard. A nice metal and enamelled badge on the back and one on the dashboard, extra and more robust bash plates and a bigger fuel tank.

Now I think that would have flown off the shelf, however I think the current 1924 version is designed as a mall crawler, and if it is they should have put more bling on it, diamond stitch seats, electric folding steps etc.

Yes, just a cosmetic thing, but I love the darker headliner, love the replacement of piano black for matte green, love the black saddle leather, and kinda like the wheels (only if they are 17s tho). Don’t care much about the Belstaff marketing angle or history, but dig those interior touches. Those would be welcome options.

It seems to me this is a rather clever fairly low effort tactic to try and get some of the folks near the end of the year who, like me, are waiting for the MY25 to order. The interior color ways are nice though the wheels seem counter to the spirit of the vehicle. I'd like to see special editions dial up the core spirit of the design premise.

So where to begin..? I am a tremendously loyal fan of the Grenadier and suspect I’ll end up owning several of them as new variants are released. In the performance car world this Belstaff edition is what we would call a sticker car, meaning put some cosmetic enhancements on it and call it a special edition. If I weren’t already an owner, I would go all in on a magic mushroom Belstsff. My point, that I’m slowly getting to, is that I’m likely not doubling up for a sticker car when I believe some other great variants are forthcoming. I have no doubt it will be a huge success, but from what I can tell there are no performance enhancements and I don’t see it having meaningful appreciation as a collector car.

I expressed interest and if given the opportunity I might make the purchase - but I would much prefer a QM or something with meaningful performance enhancements.

Are there any existing owners who are interested? I would like to know what other owners are thinking.

Makes me think of putting lipstick on a "G"...
