Anyone have any opinions or wisdom on touch up paint on rock sliders and skid plates? Grok recommended bed liner on rock panels and Google says no bed liner (traps moisture)? That question and recommend to spare on vehicle or take off and spray? Gravel and some recreational impacts have done a number on my sliders and skids.

Google knows about the perils of bed liner? Interesting.

I've been touching up black powder coated exterior parts for decades. I find that Rustoleum 'Canyon Black' spray does an excellent job and blends in very well. Always have a can or two on the garage.

I don’t do anything because it’s just going to get ground off again soon. But I also live in a no rust area. You probably do want to protect it. Rattle can seems to be fine

I have Owl sliders with some functional beauty, they sure look good dusty, and have used their rattle can for touch-up. I've also used it on some 3D printed parts so they don't look as "plasticy".

If you squint, it's mint.
Good from far, far from good.
Looks good at 60 mph.
Close enough for overlanding
Built, not babied.

If you're trying to match the factory colours this is the current Glasurit code list. Glasurit is part of BASF Coatings who supply Ineos.

I'm assuming that EGR uses the same colours as Ineos for paint finishes on the bolt-on protection accessories. Powder coat finishes will be similar but not the same.

Go here: https://coloronline.glasurit.com/index.php
Enter 'Ineos' as the Manufacturer then select 'Ineos Grenadier' from the list.
Select 'Start Search'.

The three-letter code is useable by paint mixing shops, e.g. Chassis Black - FQS.
