New variants including a "commecial" version coming in the 2024 Defender lineup.
Looks like the "commercial" one will still attract LCT and is stupidly priced at $110,000 before onroads.

They should be. JLR is finished. Tata have had enough and are looking to sell off the individual brands (Range Rover, Defender, Disco etc).

The hard top(commerival) has been around since year 1.5 of the new model. The only change is the engine choice is down to one.

130 model configurations 😧...the proliferation of models/options will become a logistical nightmare. Pity the LR dealer who has to train/retain capable techs to service the products... let alone the multitude of spare partsšŸ¤‘
I sincerely hope IA "stick to the knitting" and keep the product mix as simple as possible....

Not so sure about this as LR have 250k of orders in the bank and the Defender is a global hit.. range rovers seems to be suffering however.

They could spin of jaguar which has some challenges and is going tonto on electrical propulsion which is a dead end.

In the uk market, higher financing costs are resulting in higher levels of cancellation, which coupled with lots of cars in stock, should see a buyers market emerge.

I read that differently, as in the 130 model will have more variants.

In total the Defender range has "just" 21 variants for Oz in 2024.
