It was a ton of fun that’s for sure! So glad we had the mud tyres!Very good Matt. I watched the other day.![]()
Well done Matt & Family, enjoy everytime your videos. Countries, people, landscape and adventure. Great!
I thoroughly enjoyed this episode when I watched it the other day, good stuff.
They weren’t in great shape. They weren’t bald though. For trips around the world like this A/T or maybe R/T tyres are best due to the impact on fuel economy and the fact you’re encountering all sorts of terrain and conditions but it depends on what you’re actual plan is. If you’re going to go hardcore, range isn’t an issue for you and fuel is widely available then M/T maybe a better choice. It also comes down to budget, we can’t always have exactly what we’d like, when we’d like it. I think they learned a valuable lesson about tyres on this trail though. If you’re going to do this kind of stuff, it’s well worth investing in a good set of tyres. Luckily we were leant our MTs by the legend that is Ganbi who runs the 70 series club in Mongolia. The troopy tires looked almost bald, cant have been easy for them
