GLOBEGUARD - It Works!

So far it seems the globeguard works on one make (per license ) as many cars as you like. Agile off-road seems to be rumored to be per car license.
I prefer the open one make model, anyway looks like the service and tpms will be on both, but coding might be a wining hand.
ability to Code out adblue I would pay double the globeguard price!

The top winner for home user market would be a tool like bimmertool buy form a range of OBD scanners and just license the software.
Instant worldwide distribution, if you have a compatible OBD scanner.

Anyone speaking to agile please confirm they will support diesel versions as well with the dpf regen functionality please.

The equivalent gizmo for BMW motorbikes, which can be nowhere near as electronically complicated as a Grenadier, costs AU$950 to 750 in Oz - the Hex GS-911.

Yesterday the Globe Guard delivered to me in Canberra worked out at more than AU$1400.

Cheaper would be better but at least in the short term that looks to be what the early adopters are up for.
In late 2024, I took the wife's 2019 Subaru Impreza to the dealer for its final service before the 5yr warranty expired. It's a multiple franchise with various Chinesium electric brands available. The Chery brand was prominent. The lass attending the service desk said that a tech. had "mishandled" the electric vehicle diagnostic tablet and it had spontaneously shattered on the workshop floor (obviously failed the 1m drop test). Replacement cost was north of A$50 thousand 🥵.

big problem when a licence is bundled in hardware, reminds me of the dark old days of Parallel port dongles, misplace one of these babies because you want to use a printer and the results were hurendous!

I wouldn't be getting terribly excited about stuff like deleting ad-blue, deleting these statutory functions would almost certainly be in violation to the licencing agreement. Someone would need to actually defeat the security model for this to become available.

Hello,
Deleting ad-blue or AGR is on a BMW engine only after a unlock of the ECU possible. In Europe only FEMTO in Finland and AUTOTUNER in Belgium can do this. I dont know how this is in the USA but til 2024 Femto was worldwide the only one who was able to do.
After the unlock some of the BMW Tuner can delete the tools easyly.

P.S.: I am using Globeguard and it works:).

What licensing? These are not authorized by the manufacturer. Any of these tools don’t fall under any legal agreement unless explicitly stated.

Also in Africa and to the military the Ineos diesel has been sold without adblue (I don’t need it here in Cayman either) and if you import a car to a non required country you can legally remove it.

first canberra banning fireworks made 1 less reason to visit , then Ron not having a scanner, good thing cockington green still running.
I do have a scanner to clear codes though. The Agile alternative being beta tested looks interesting. A lot will depend on the final price.

I can understand the temptation to adapt to
the current Ineos African market configuration which has no Ad-blue setup. That would enable 104L Brown Davis aux. tank availability for the diesel version of the station wagon.
I am, of course, merely fantasising at the prospect...🙈🙉🙊
