Dedicated Ineos Diagnostic tool GlobeGuard.ch OBD ii - UPDATE service interval working

That’s good to hear. One other thing I thought of that’s not listed is the battery reset. Is that on the agenda?

Got mine yesterday and have sorted the service interval.
Had some trouble getting the usb connection to work with a driver issue, but got it going on WiFi ok.

Anyone in Wellington area nz is welcome to pop over to use it foc just pm me.
Disregard the battery reset. It is in there already

What are “transport functions” ?
I believe it is a low-power state (limited electrical draw when off, limited engine power available when on) used when the vehicle is shipped. Our Grenadiers were likely shipped on RORO ships to the U. S. in transport mode, then changed to normal mode by the dealer. So you might use it when shipping your vehicle somewhere.

What it’s not is the manual shift to neutral by screwing a bolt in on the side of the transmission.

If someone knows different, I’m sure we’ll hear from them shortly 🤪

You are spot on there. Transport mode only allows for like 30mph low rev and disabling of many "safety" functions. Its for load and unloading from the ships, trains and trucks etc. Kinda like Valet mode if you have ever used that too! Or valet key on some older models.

Would be great when loaning vehicle to the kids then. 😂

Transport mode can be enabled/disabled without using an OBD device. The relevant section from my Rok_Dr manual follows describing how to do it.

17.5. Long Term Vehicle Storage and Transport Mode

The Ineos Body Builder Guide (Ineos 2024b, Section 3.10, pages 46-49) provides useful information on how to prepare the Grenadier for long term storage. It also details how to activate and deactivate Transport Mode (section3.10.3 pages 48-49). When this mode is activated power consumers such as lights and window regulators are deactivated. @Logsplitter also advises that this also disables the theft/tilt alarm.
https://www.theineosforum.com/threa...’s-manual-supplement.12415655/post-1333329115)

To activate the transport mode, pull the fuse FC04 (5A) in the Cockpit Electrical Centre fuse box. Deactivate transport mode before starting up the vehicle. To achieve that, simply put the fuse FC04 (5A) back in its place, in the Cockpit Fuse Box.

Cheers
Steve

Yes I got my information from it and referenced the body builders guide (as Ineos name it) in my commentary as well 😁

How long did one take from ordering to arrival ? Im heading across the great sandy desert - basically out the back Uluru all the way to the Pilbera and West coast of Australia and might need to take one with me... but I want to wait for the TPMS update to come out.

Thanks for your help

About a week, plus a week going thru nz and customs. Just be aware it may better to liaise with them prior to purchasing. I ended up paying VAT at their end plus about 330nz customs charges at this end by just buying online. . They said that I was charged the vat in error. A refund is on the way but it would be better sorting that part out prior to purchase. Staff were quick to respond and helpful. Edit. Clarification

So I ordered a GlobeGuard first week of May, and for anyone thinking of ordering one please be aware that their response times and customer service is slow. My package has been stuck on hold because they have not followed up with DHL to resolve their issue. This has been on going for over a week now. There is definitely no urgency on behalf of the company.
The entire purchase was clunky, it took them 5 days to acknowledge they received my wire transfer and only after I asked them about it. And now this shipping issue.
Hopefully this thing works if I ever receive it.

I have my unit and it works. Took about two weeks end to end.
No confirmation of bank wire was made.
My account still shows the order as “on hold”.
No replies to emails which I made back to their support email, via their contact form, and via the online invoice system.
DHL was smooth shipping to US.

But… the unit works :) and I’m happy to have it.
