I seen that the Ineos 50 in 50 shows Borrego on June 14th but it doesn’t appear anything has been organized or I just can’t find it. I’m supposed to be at funeral that day that I would desperately like to avoid. Who wants to spend the day on trails in Borrego?

I’m doing the Mossy Ineos San Diego Idyllwild run on the Saturday, would be up for camping out Saturday night & doing a day on Sunday in Anza Borrego.

I’ve been out a lot over the years, not a lot of experience on the technical sections, there’s probably guys on here with way more knowledge of those. But for general off-roading, I know my way around.

Some recent trips. It’s probably going to be >100F so that may restrict movement a bit !

Looks like it’s just the two of us for now. I’m going to be driving down from LA early that morning. How can we get a bigger group?

Where do you want to meet and what time works for you? If I leave here at 7am then I could be there at 10am. Hell I’ll bring donuts if that gets people out. Maybe I’ll post to the SoCal Ineos group on Facebook. That is fairly active

Here’s a few options for Fish Creek Wash area. Start at the south & work up through the mud caves etc, down Diablo Drop Off & into Fish Creek & Sand stone Canyon, exiting at the northern end. I’ll probably camp out near the Vallecitos Creek area (View of the Badlands Wash) and can meet you at the Vallecitos Creek Rd waypoint at 10am.

Always good to know someone with some local knowledge. Thank you for putting the plan together. I’m in for 10am at Vallecitos Creek Rd waypoint at 10am. I’ll DM you my cell number.

Bring a headlamp / flashlight & we can explore the mud caves (good chance to get out of the heat for a little while !)

It looks like we picked up a third truck and he is going on your Saturday Idyllwild trip. His name is David Silberfarb. Look for an Orange Grenadier wagon.

Big thanks to the guys and girls at Mossy Ineos, San Diego & Agile Off-road for organizing the day out at Fish Creek yesterday.

Great pancake breakfast, great trail run through some stunning scenery with John highlighting some of the best Anza Borrego has to offer. Even the 112F heat didn’t dampen our spirits !

Good to catch up with some familiar faces & meet some new folks too.

It was a fun day. I hope you get that wheel replaced.
